Petromin Corporation serves as Al-Dabbagh Group’s flagship Petroleum and Auto-Services company. It was established in 1968, and today it operates in four main segments: Lubricants, Petromin Express, Fuel Retailing and Car Dealership.
In the lubricant segment, its core business, Petromin is the market leader in the Middle East for lubricant products, and is the largest downstream oil company in its segment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. With its state of the art blending plant in Jeddah, it provides world-class products to motorists, and to industrial and government institutions. This year saw further growth with an additional acquisition in the UAE and with branch offices in the MENA region.
Petromin Express, the brand under which this network operates, provides quick automotive services and preventive maintenance to Saudi motorists with an unparalleled market reach. They have a target to hit 1000 retail outlets by 2020 – fifty percent of which will be achieved by the end of 2015 – growing aggressively by 3 outlets per week. It is today considered today the 8th largest automotive service station network in the world outside the USA. Petromin Express service stations now offer quick lube to diesel trucks, the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia
Petromin is also rapidly expanding its fuel-retailing network with the aim to be a world-class convenience retail offer, and a 20×20 goal to be a global leader in its space. With a chain of stations in Saudi Arabia, each station includes a convenience store, world-class global fast-food outlet, fuel retailing, an ATM and Petromin Express services.
With Petromin’s service network and customer base of 1.5 million car owners in Saudi Arabia, a growth opportunity in the car dealership space was identified as a fourth stream of work. Nissan appointed Petromin as a dealer across the Kingdom where it will also service Nissan cars at Petromin Express and a growing workshop network Kingdom-wide.
Petromin, across its multiple platforms, will have 75 million annual visits made by its customers by 2020.
